BEAN EXPERIMENT!

Bean Experiment

Aug 26, 2016 11:18:59 AM.jpgOn the 26th of August 2016 we photographed and cut apart a bean seed that has been growing for 2 weeks. When we dissected the bean and looked at it underneath the microscope. I saw the nearly transparent embryo growing inside. Inside the plant the cotyledon feeds the plant as it grows while outside the bean the seed coat is protecting it with a guarding layer. Here are some photo’s.  Aug 26, 2016 11:36:45 AM.jpg

Fish

A couple of weeks ago we had been given two orange fish and two brown fish and and on the 23rd of August the other fish were beating it up and today the small orange fish has been lying in the bottom of the tank and might be dying.  Here are some photo's.

Should We Recycle More?

                                Should we Recycle More?

I agree that we should recycle more.  Firstly recycling is good for the environment, secondly it will reduce pollution, finally it saves money.

To begin with, recycling is good for the environment.  By not littering, cleaning up rubbish off the ground and many other places, are ways to recycle and keep the environment clean.

Furthermore when rubbish is lying on the beach or when you drop rubbish in the water it also can kill fish, squid, sharks and other animals in the sea.

Ultimately it can save you some money by using old products and using them over and over again.

In conclusion this is why we should recycle. To save the environment, to minimise pollution and to save money.    ... Garbage, Trash, Recycle

Writing

Here is my writing.

The Hospital

  1. Hospital
  2. Surgery
  3. Cold ice cream

Walking into the creepy hospital, I hear newborn babies shriek and wail, after they take a couple more breaths as they calm down. I get taken into a mysterious dark room with lots of nurses standing around medicine cupboards. Standing in front of me a pair of eyes gaze at me her mouth opens, “why don’t you come and sit down , so you can have your needle put, in.”

I fall fast asleep like sleeping  beauty. They grab the tools while clinging them together. The open my monstrous mega mouth. They slap on the gloves. Cling! Cling!Cling! The metal tools get lent against  my teeth as they begin pulling out my tonsils.

I wake up in pain. I groan and cry for my mum. Finally the nurses found her and also bought my favorite thing ICE CREAM! As I swallow each part of the ice cream it softens my sore, aching throat.

Sherbet

Last Week Room 18 made sherbet for Maths we were learning about volume and capacity. Here are some photo's of the sherbet we made.
